How Add Tunes To My Ipod device Without Itunes

Add music to your iPod with third-party music managers.

Although it is recommended to use iTunes to add music and other types of media to your iPod, there are third-party music managers available that provide media synchronization. Third-party music managers usually cost a nominal fee to use, as they often provide two-way transferring of information and a handful of other features including iPod to iPod media transfers. While these music managers can add and retrieve music from your iPod with relative ease, you'll still need to use iTunes in order to update the software on your iPod.

Instructions

1. Use 4Media iPod to PC Transfer (see Resources). Although the title of the product suggests it is only able to copy media from the iPod, it is also a music manager that transfers music from your computer to your iPod. Other features of the program include iPod to iPod transferring and a jukebox that enables you to play music directly from the program. Once installed, plug your iPod into your computer using the iPod cable and run the iPod Rip program. Click the computer to iPod button's arrow and select "Add to List" from the drop-down menu. Select the songs you wish to import and click the "Open" or "Add" button.

2. Use ImTOO Computer Transfer (see Resources). Similar to the previous product, this music-transferring program works for both PCs and Macs and provides two-way syncing of music, videos and photos. ImTOO Computer Transfer also allows you to use your iPod as a hard disk by enabling disk mode when you connect your iPod to your computer. Plug the iPod cable into the computer and the iPod and open the program. Click the down arrow on the first button's arrow, and highlight the songs you want to sync to your iPod. Click the "Open" button to sync the songs and disconnect once the synchronization is complete.

3. Use Aiseesoft iPod Transfer (see Resources). Along with basic two-way transferring of music between your iPod and your computer, iPod Transfer by Aiseesoft also provides tools that allow you to create ringtones in the program and convert DVD and video to your iPod. Install the program and click the "PC to iPod" button and click the songs you want to sync to your iPod. Click the "Add" button and the program will automatically sync the music to your iPod.
