Free MP3 track downloads are presented as online links posted by both signed and unsigned artist for promotional use. These types of MP3s can usually be found as mix-tape tracks or individual downloads many places on the Web. From music promo websites to social networking sites, there are several ways to download free MP3s. MP3 downloading is just a few clicks away, and you can have the free MP3 on your hard drive for playback in approximately a minute.
Instructions
1. Access a promotional music website, mix-tape downloading site or file sharing site such as DatPiff, MixtapeTorrent or LimeLinx in your Web browser. (See Resources)
2. Browse the site and search through the song titles to find a free MP3 track that you would like to download.
3. Click the MP3 track's download link, which displays the title of the song. If the website's homepage does not display a list of MP3 tracks, locate the site's music/MP3 category link or search field and type in the name of the MP3 track for which you are looking.
4. Click "Save" to store the MP3 track to your hard drive when the pop-up box opens. The MP3 automatically begins downloading to your hard drive.
5. Click "Open" once the downloading is complete to playback and review the free MP3 track. The track opens in your computer's default media player application.
