Upgrading firmware can give you access to feature enhancements.
Router manufacturers, especially Linksys, are always improving the firmware for their router models. Although the Linksys WRT350N is not the newest Linksys router, a firmware upgrade is possible. The router does not notify you when a new firmware version is available for your router. You must access the Linksys website to determine if the router can be updated. If an update is available, you should upgrade to take advantage of security enhancements and improved functionality that firmware upgrades often give.
