Play An Mpa File

MPA files are highly compatible with both PCs and Macs.

The MPA (MPEG-2) audio container type is one of the most commonly used sound files available, according to fileinfo.com. Based on the MPEG-1 audio coding standard, MPA files contain highly-compressed audio without a significant loss in audio fidelity. Due to the prevalence of the MPEG-2 file type, nearly every modern audio or multimedia jukebox is capable of understanding and playing MPA files.

Instructions

1. Download a media jukebox. Programs such as Windows Media Player and iTunes allow users to play a multitude of audio files, as well as to create playlists of their favorite songs. You can download them for free.

2. Install the media jukebox software. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and allow the programs to install and open.

3. Locate the MPA file on your hard drive. The file will appear with a name followed by ".mpa."

4. Double-click on the MPA file to open it. Alternatively, you can right-click on the file and select "Open" from the pop-up menu.

5. Listen to the MPA file. The file will automatically open in your media jukebox program, assuming that you've completed the installation.
