Put Mp3 Format On The Compact disc Rom

Put MP3s onto a CD in just a few steps.

Putting MP3 formatted files on a CD is a way to take your computer's media collection with you on the go for playback in a boom box, home stereo, car or portable CD player. This process, typically referred to as "CD burning," is a relatively simple one that can be completed with the jukebox software that came with your computer.

Instructions

PC

1. Launch the Windows Media Player program on your computer.

2. Click on the "Library" tab to display the list options. Click "List Name" and then select "Burn List."

3. Click and drag the titles of the MP3 formatted files that you wish to put on CD from the Contents pane to the List pane in Windows Media Player.

4. Place the blank CD into your computer's CD Rom drive.

5. Delete excess MP3 formatted files from your burn list if the list time exceeds 74 minutes (the capacity of blank CDs). The list time will be displayed in the List pane. Right-click and select "Remove from list" to delete excess MP3's.

6. Click "Start Burn."

Mac

7. Launch the iTunes software on your computer.

8. Go to the playlist with the MP3 formatted files that you would like to put on CD. To create a new playlist, click the plus sign (+) on the bottom left of the program window, or click "File" and select "New Playlist" from the program menu. Then drag the MP3 formatted files to the new playlist.
