Wi-fi compatability Back On The Sansa Connect

The Sansa Connect MP3 player allows you to access the Internet using a Wi-Fi connection. If the Wi-Fi connection fails, it can be restored to the device using a recovery tool provided by Sansa. Your MP3 files and settings will be deleted during the recovery process.

Instructions

1. Connect your Sansa Connect MP3 player to the charger that came with the MP3 player. Allow the MP3 player's battery to charge for a minimum of 20 minutes. Hold the power button on the Sansa Connect for eight seconds to turn it off.

2. Open a Web browser on your computer and navigate to the Sansa Connect "No-Wifi Recovery Tool" recovery page. Click "Run" when the download window opens. Allow the recovery tool to download to your computer. Click the "Next" button when the "No-Wifi Recovery Tool" installation window opens. The program will automatically install on your computer.

3. Hold down the "Right Button" (located above the scroll wheel) while holding the "Volume Up" button on the left side panel of the MP3 player. Tap the "Power Button" once while holding down the "Right Button" and "Volume Up" button. Let go of these buttons once the MP3 player powers on and loads a "Recovery Needed" message.

4. Plug one end of the Sansa Connect USB cable into the MP3 player, and connect the other end to your computer. The "SanDisk Device Recovery" window will load on your computer. Choose the option labeled "Recover Sansa Device" in the window. Click the "OK" button and the "No-Wifi Recovery Tool" will begin the recovery process.

5. Click "Finish" or "Close" when the recovery tool alerts you that the recovery process has completed. Disconnect your Sansa Connect MP3 player from your computer. The ability to access Wi-Fi connections will again be available on your Sansa Connect MP3 player.
