Put Music On The Digital Mp4 Player

Put music on your MP4 player today.

Digital MP4 players are portable devices that support the playback of MP4 formatted digital video files. These players are dynamic devices because they often support the playback of other file types, such as MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (MP3) files, among others. Getting music files onto your digital MP4 player is a simple process that can be completed in just a couple of steps. Certain MP4 players, such as the iPod, need jukebox software to add music. This process is also fairly easy.

Instructions

Drag and Drop

1. Connect your MP4 player to your PC using the player's USB cord. Your computer should recognize the player as a "Removable Media" drive or "External Drive F." Double-click on the drive's icon from your computer's desktop. Your player should contain a folder entitled "Music." Double-click on the folder.

2. Open a new finder/explorer window and navigate to the music you would like to put onto your digital MP4 player.

3. Drag and drop the music files from the finder/explorer window you opened in Step 2 to your player's "Music" folder.

Jukebox Program

4. Open your preferred jukebox program, such as Windows Media Player or iTunes.

5. Connect the player to your computer using the player's USB cord. Your program may ask if you'd like to "Register Now," "Register Later" or "Never Register" your player. To complete your setup quickly, choose one of the latter two options. There will then be an option to sync your computer's audio library with your MP4 player.

6. If you would rather transfer your music manually, do not click the "Sync" option. Rather, drag the music files from your program library onto the icon for your MP4 player. When the files are done copying, your MP4 player is all set up for music playback.
