A first-generation Dell Digital Jukebox Music Player is available in two sizes: 15 MB, and 20 MB. Aside from its simplicity and lightness in design, it also has the capacity to store a wide range of voice recordings, MP3 songs and WAV downloads. Another primary selling factor of this unit is its 20-hour battery life. However, despite its excellent lifespan, the unit's battery will eventually have to be replaced, and you should learn do it properly if you intend to effectively cut cost on services for repair and maintenance.
Instructions
1. Remove the four rubber screw covers at the back of the case. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the rubber screws one at a time. Once you have unscrewed all four, the back cover should easily separate from the case to reveal the battery compartment.
2. Lift the battery away from the case, gently using your fingertip or the tip of the screwdriver. Pry the battery gradually up until it is out.
3. Remove the power cable from the battery by pulling on its connection, again gently using your fingertip. Do not pull or force the cord off as it could break easily.
4. Connect the power cable of the new battery over the socket and push it in gently. Fit the new battery snugly into the original glue spots inside the battery compartment.
5. Snap on the back cover. Return the four screws using the Phillips screwdriver, and reapply all four rubber screw covers.
