Sync A Phillips Gogear

The Phillips GoGear line of personal MP3 players are small, lightweight and easy to use--a good workout companion. Of course, that companion isn't going to be much help when you run out of songs. The sample tunes built in to most GoGear MP3 players won't last you half an hour. There are two easy methods of getting your music onto your device: Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player.

Instructions

Windows Explorer"My Music," or "My Documents">"My Music">"iTunes."

3. Select an artist, album or individual song you want to put on on your GoGear. You can select multiple files or folders with the "Control" key. Click and drag the item or items into the GoGear Explorer window. Wait for the transfer to finish.

4. Repeat until you've copied all the music you want or your device is full. Unplug the GoGear from the computer.

Windows Media Player

5. Start Windows Media Player by clicking the desktop shortcut or clicking "Start," then " All Programs," then "Windows Media Player." Depending upon your computer, the shortcut may be in the Accessories or Media folder.

6. Plug in your GoGear via the included USB cord. A new entry will appear in the "Devices" section of Windows Media Player. Ignore any pop-ups.

7. Click "New," then "Playlist." Fill the playlist with your desired music from My Library by dragging it from the Library to the Playlist. Make sure that the file size of the playlist is not larger than the storage capacity of your GoGear.

8. Right-click the playlist in the left area of the window and select "Sync to device" or "Sync to GoGear." Wait for the operation to finish, then unplug your GoGear from the USB cable.
