Burn Music From Itunes To Compact disks

You can use iTunes to back up your music library to CDs and DVDs.

iTunes lets you play music from your hard drive, audio CDs and songs purchased from the iTunes Store. You can also transfer your music to an Apple device or burn your music to CDs. Before you can burn music to a CD, iTunes requires that you create a playlist of the songs you wish to burn. When you burn the playlist, your songs will play in the order you added them to the playlist.

Instructions

1. Insert a blank CD into your computer's CD drive, and then launch iTunes.

2. Click the "+" button on the lower-left corner of the window to create a new playlist. Type a name for the playlist, and then press "Enter." Click "Music" under the "Library" section in the left pane to view your songs. Drag songs from your music list in the right pane, and then drop each song on your playlist's name in the left pane. iTunes will add each song to the playlist.

3. Click "File" and select "Burn Playlist to Disc." Select a burning speed from the "Preferred Speed" drop-down list, and then select your preferred gap between songs for an audio CD on the drop-down list next to "Gap Between Songs." Click "MP3 CD" under disc format if you want to burn a CD of MP3 files.

4. Click "Burn" to burn your music to the CD.
