Burn Music On Roxio Creator 10

Roxio Creator 10 allows you to burn DVDs and data CDs in addition to audio discs.

Roxio Creator 10 is a multi-function media management and disc burning software program with a specific feature enabling users to burn music CDs. Available for Windows XP and Vista, the Creator Classic function burns audio CDs for use with external CD players, while the Jukebox CD function creates audio CDs you can play on computers. Both functions operate similarly, but format the CDs differently.

Instructions

1. Click twice on the Roxio Creator icon on your desktop. If you can't locate the icon and you've installed the software properly, search for it in your computer's Start menu and double-click it to open the program.

2. Click on the Creator Classic icon in the "Applications" at the left of the screen. If you have used Creator Classic in the past, it will also appear for clicking in the "Most Frequent Tasks" window on the right.

3. Choose "File" and "Create Project" from the drop-down menu and name your music CD.

4. Browse your computer for the MP3s you wish to burn by clicking the "Select Source" or "Destination Section" (depending on which version is installed).

5. Click the MP3 music file while holding your mouse button and drag it to the "MP3 Disc Project." Repeat with additional files until you have reached the CD capacity noted at the bottom of the window.

6. Place a blank CDR disc into your computer. Avoid using rewritable discs for music CDs as they may not play properly on some CD players.

7. Make any adjustments to burn speed (also called "write speed") and volume leveling by clicking on "Details" and making your option selections. Burning CDs at mid to slow speeds (4X to 12X) will result in better sound quality.

8. Click the "Burn" button and your CD will begin processing. A status bar will appear indicating the remaining burn time. On most computers, the CD will automatically eject when finished. If not, eject the CD manually when Roxio has finished burning the CD by pressing the CD eject button.

9. Check your music CD for sound quality by playing it in a CD player, especially if you are going to make multiple copies.
