Charging a Creative Zen battery
Creative manufactures and distributes a line of Zen MP3 players. Some Zen MP3 players are powered using disposable batteries. When these players no longer have power, the batteries can simply be removed and replaced. Other Zen MP3 players are powered using rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Owners of Zen MP3 players with rechargeable batteries can recharge their players using a USB power adapter or by connecting the player to a computer.
Instructions
Charge with USB Power Adapter
1. Turn off the Zen player by pressing and holding the power button or sliding the power switch to the "OFF" position.
2. Connect one end of the power adapter to the Zen player and the other end to an electrical outlet. Some Zen players come with a power adapter. If your model did not ship with a power adapter, one can be purchased at the Creative Labs Online Store.
3. Wait for the Zen player to power on automatically. Once charging begins, a charging icon appears on the LCD screen. A charged icon will display once charging is complete.
Charge Using a Computer
4. Turn off the Zen player by pressing and holding the power button or sliding the power switch to the "OFF" position.
5. Connect one end of the supplied USB synchronization cable to the Zen player and the other end to a USB port on your computer. The player should be connected directly to a powered USB port on your computer and not a USB hub on a keyboard or monitor.
6. Wait for the player to power on automatically and for the charging icon to appear. The charged icon will appear once charging is done. To ensure the Zen player charges fully, configure your computer's power settings to not hibernate or go to sleep while the player is charging.
