Connect Ventrilo
to iTunes
Ventrilo, also known as Vent, is a program designed to allow multiple users to communicate at the same time using microphones. You can play iTunes in your Ventrilo channel by modifying some of the sound settings on your computer.
Instructions
Setting up Your Computer
1. Open the "Control Panel" and click "Sound." Right-click the "Recording" tab window and check "Show Disabled Devices."
2. Right-click "Stereo Mix" and select "Properties." Click "Levels" and set the volume to 50%. Locate the "Advanced" tab to choose "2 channel 44 Hz" from the menu. Click "OK."
3. Select "Playback" and right-click "Speakers" to reach "Properties." Locate "Levels" and mute the microphone.
Setting up Ventrilo
4. Open Ventrilo and click "Setup" to find the "Voice" tab. Set output and input devices to the name of your sound card and check "Use Direct Sound."
5. Locate "Hardware Mixer" and set the first option to Stereo Mix and the second and third to Master Volume. Set "Sensitivity" to zero. Locate the "Events" tab and set all events to "Nothing."
6. Locate the "Events" tab and set all events to "Nothing." You can now open iTunes and begin your playlist.
