Instructions

Downloading Music to Your Dell DJ Ditty

1. Your portable device manager (PDM) is the tool that will allow you to transfer tracks from your computer's Musicmatch Jukebox to your DJ Ditty in a few simple steps. Open up your PDM. This is done by clicking on the "View" tab at the top of your Musicmatch Jukebox screen and selecting the PDM from the list of tools and alternative viewing options.

2. Select the "Add Tracks" option in the PDM's operating window. This will allow you to select one of the following: Library, Playlists, My Music, Desktop, or My Computer. If you want to select all categories, check the "Select All" tab and click OK. This will transfer all music to your Ditty.

3. A second option to selecting music is viewing the sub-categories that are contained within the main categorized music in your library. Double-click one of the categories, and a drop-down list will appear, showing you the sub-categories and tracks contained within each category. This will allow you to pick specific niches of music within your music library, or, even more specifically, individual tracks.

4. The third and final option when downloading music to your DJ Ditty is the most simple of all. This is the drag and drop. You should be as familiar with this procedure as you are with cut and paste. Simply select certain tracks or entire albums that you would like to listen to away from home. Highlight your selection within the library's main window, click and hold, and finally drag that selection into the main window of your PDM, thus completing the drag and drop.

5. Once you have completed one of the three above steps, connect your Ditty to your computer with your USB cord. Sync the device to your computer. Once you have connected the two pieces of equipment, simply click the "Sync" button, which is located next to the "Add Tracks" button. This will automatically move all your selected tracks from your PDM to your MP3 device. You have successfully added music to your Ditty for on-the-go listening.
