Put a Jawbone Bluetooth in Pairing Mode
Jawbone Bluetooth devices are hands-free headsets that allow you to transmit voice data across a personal network to a device. While these headsets are most popular with cell phone users, they can also be used with wireless PDAs, computers and even video game consoles. Putting your Jawbone headset into pairing mode will allow it to connect to all kinds of devices and is a fairly easy process.
Instructions
1. Put the device you want to sync the Jawbone with in pairing mode. If the Jawbone does not sense a compatible device when it is put in to pairing mode, it will abort the operation automatically. On a cell phone, this is generally done by going to the "Settings" menu and finding the "Bluetooth" option. Other devices use a similar process. The device should find the Jawbone headset automatically. If it doesn't, you will have to manually activate it.
2. Turn off the Jawbone headset. Then power it back on by pressing and holding the "NoiseAssasin" button. This button is located on the side of the Jawbone.
3. Continue to hold down the button for two seconds after it powers on. The light on the headset will flash red and white, indicating it has entered pairing mode.
4. Once both devices are in pairing mode, you may need to enter a key number. The universal key for all Bluetooth headsets is 0000. The only circumstance where this key will not work is if the key has been manually changed by the user.
