SanDisk releases firmware updates for the Sansa Fuze to correct errors in previous firmware or to add features to the current software. Updates are downloaded using Sansa Updater software that scans the Fuse for your installed firmware and then connects to the Internet to find if there are any updates. The software also installs the updates directly to the Sansa Fuze. Learn install and use the Sansa Updater software to keep your Sansa Fuze up to date.
Instructions
1. Download the "Sansa Firmware Updater" from the SanDisk website. A link to the download is located in Resources.
2. Double-click the "SansaUpdaterInstall" icon on your computer and click "Next" on the "Install Sansa Updater" window.
3. Read the "Sandisk Corporation End User License Agreement" and click "Agree." The software will download onto your computer.
4. Plug the large end of the USB cable into the connector on the bottom of the Sansa Fuze and plug the other end into a USB jack on your computer.
5. Press the "Check for Updates" button in the "Sansa Updater" window. The updater will search for and list current updates for the Fuze.
6. Click on the small boxes next to the firmware you want to download to the Fuze and click "Download Now." The Sansa Updater program will download the update and load it on your Fuze.
7. Press "Finish" on the "Sansa Updater" window and unplug the Fuze from your computer to finish the installation.
