Instructions For Setting up Tunes Within An Ipod device Shuffle

Installing songs to your iPod Shuffle is a fairly simple task.

An iPod Shuffle is a small personal music device made by Apple. The device along with the iTunes application allows you to download music and play it on it. To be able to do this, you need iTunes, a free application, which takes about five minutes to download.

Instructions

1. Open your iTunes application. If you do not have iTunes installed on your computer, download it from the iTunes Web page (see "Resources" section for link).

2. Hook your iPod Shuffle up to your computer with its USB cord. Wait a few moments for iTunes to recognize it. You will see a small iPod Shuffle icon in the left column.

3. Find music that you want on your iPod Shuffle. If it is on the CD, insert the CD into your CD-ROM. Your computer will ask you whether you want to import the CD into your iTunes library. Click "Yes." The CD's tracks will end up in your library.

4. Click "File" in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click "Add to library..." if you have songs on your hard drive that you want to add to your library. Browse for this music, highlight tracks that you want on your iPod Shuffle and click the "choose" button. The tracks will download into your library.

5. Click the "Music" icon in the left column. Click a track to highlight it. Drag it onto the iPod Shuffle icon in the left column. The music will start to download onto the iPod Shuffle.

6. Repeat Step 5 to add more tracks to your iPod Shuffle.

7. Hit the eject button on the right side of the iPod Shuffle icon when you are finished putting music on the device.

8. Unplug the iPod Shuffle from the USB cord.
