Convert iTunes songs to your Sony MP3 player.
The Sony MP3 player is a portable media player that allows you to transfer your favorite music from your PC to the device. The amount of songs your Sony player can hold depends on the model's disk space, and it only supports songs that are in MP3 or WMA audio format. Due to this limitation, all songs purchased from the iTunes Store must be converted from the M4A audio format to MP3. Once converted, they can be transferred to your Sony MP3 player.
Instructions
1. Click "Start" on your taskbar and click "Programs," "Apple" and "iTunes."
2. Click "Edit" at the top of the iTunes menu and select "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
3. Click the "Import Settings" button and click the drop-down list next to "Import Using." Click "MP3 Encoder" and click "OK" to save the settings. Click "OK" on the previous screen to exit the window.
4. Right-click the song you want to convert and select "Create MP3 Version" from the pop-up menu.
5. Click the "Windows Explorer" icon on your taskbar, and open your iTunes Music folder. Open the folder that contains the recently converted song, and right-click a blank area of the window.
6. Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and plug the USB cable into your computer's USB port and the Sony MP3 player.
7. Double-click the "Removable Disk" icon to open it, and drag and drop the MP3 files to the window to transfer them to the device.
8. Go back to the "My Computer" window, and right-click the "Removable Device" icon. Select "Eject" from the pop-up menu.
