Convert Yahoo Jukebox to WMA
Yahoo Music Jukebox offers users the ability to play music, organize songs into playlists and purchase downloadable music files from Yahoo's LAUNCHcast website. It also enables users to rip music from or burn song files to CDs in a variety of file formats, including MP3, WAV and WMV. While Yahoo's LAUNCHcast sells songs in the WMA file format, its jukebox program does not allow users to rip these files to a CD. However, you can download many freeware programs that will allow you to convert these WMA files from Yahoo Jukebox to a suitable format for burning to CD.
Instructions
1. Download an audio file converter program (see Resources below).
2. Install the audio file converter program on your computer. Read and agree to the end-user agreement and click "next" to follow all steps in the automatic Install Wizard until it prompts you to click "finish." Restart your computer if necessary.
3. Open the audio file converter program. Find the "Settings" tab to change the "Convert from" format to WMA. Then change the "Convert to" format to MP3, WAV, WMV or whatever file format you would like to use to play and/or burn your music files to a CD.
4. Convert the selected files. Use the converter program to find the music files on your computer that you would like to convert from Yahoo Jukebox format. Click on the files to load them into the software. Then click on the "Convert Selected Files" button (or the button marked "convert files" depending on which program you've downloaded and installed).
5. Launch Windows Media Player. Select the songs you would like to play. Click "Play."
6. Burn your Yahoo Jukebox Music files to a CD using Windows Media Player. Open Windows Media Player and select all the former Yahoo Music Jukebox files that you would like to burn to a CD.
7. Insert a rewritable CD into your computer's CD drive. Click on Windows Media Player's "Burn to CD" button to begin.
