Audiotronics Record Player 612 Instructions

Old LP records for playback on an Audiotronics phonograph.

Audiotronics was a brand of self-contained record player with a built-in mono speaker in the front of the cabinet. People of a certain age may remember these record players from their school days in the late1960s and early 1970s, as Audiotronics phonographs were a classroom staple. The Audiotronics record player is built into a carrying case with a hinged lid for portability. Setup and playback on the record player takes only a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Plug in the power cord on the back of the Audiotronics record player into an electrical outlet.

2. Flip up the two metal latches on the front of the phonograph to raise the cover.

3. Place a record in the spindle in the center of the turntable.

4. Select the motor speed, either 33 1/3 rpm or 45 rpm, depending on the record size.

5. Raise the tonearm and guide it over to the outer groove of the record using the metal knob on the edge of the tone arm. The orange power light near the back of the tone arm illuminates and the platter begins spinning the record. Lower the needle on the tip of the tone arm to the outer groove to begin record playback.

6. Adjust the volume, bass and treble knobs on the top of the record player to achieve the desired sound.

7. Plug in a set of headphones to the hexagonal headset jack near the back of the tone arm for private listening. The Audiotronics built-in speaker shuts off automatically.
