Bakersfield Evening Clubs

Bakersfield offers visitors a vibrant nightlife scene.


Located near the San Joaquin Valley and the Sierra Nevada is the Californian city of Bakersfield. Nicknamed "California's Country Music Capital," the city is the birthplace of "Bakersfield sound" style of country music made popular by icons such as Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. Bakersfield is home to several colleges and the city enjoys an active nightlife. Visitors will have little trouble finding nightclubs and lounges in Bakersfield.


Cabana Palms


Cabana Palms is a tropical themed dance club and bar that features a large outdoor patio, complete with palm trees and a fountain. The club hosts a range of both resident and guest DJs, and the music is a mixture of top 40 hits, hip hop, house and techno. Hired go go dancers work to keep the energy level up on the weekends. Guests with a little extra cash to burn can reserve a VIP table in advance for a fee. Club patrons who choose not to reserve a table should be warned: the club doesn't provide any additional seating. Sandrini's


Sandrini's is an Italian and Basque restaurant, music venue and nightclub located in downtown Bakersfield. Located down a flight of stairs in the basement, the low key club has brick walls and is simply furnished with wooden tables and hanging lamps. Sandrini's usually features live music, and while indie music is the dominating genre, there is a large amount of variety from night to night. The club has a backroom for smokers, and the dress code is nonexistent. Check calendar for cover charge information.

Casablanca Nightclub


Casablanca Nightclub is a gay bar and dance club that hosts weekly dance nights in addition to the occasional drag show. The club is decorated with leopard print furniture and colorful lights. Guests can dance on the main room's large dance floor, watch a cabaret show in the backroom, or play a game of pool. Casablanca hosts two full service bars, and there is a jukebox for guests who come earlier in the evening before the DJs starts spinning. Most nights feature hip hop and dance music, and Sundays are reserved for Latin tunes.
