The "MixPod" application and website can help you create and share a music playlist on your Facebook profile.
Your Facebook profile can tell a lot about you -- personal information, education background, career details, pictures, videos and much more. Several applications and websites can help you share your musical preferences on your Facebook profile by helping you to create a music playlist. MixPod, Playlist.com and SongArea.com work in tandem with Facebook to help you create and share your favorite songs.
Instructions
MixPod Application
1. Log into your Facebook profile.
2. Search for the MixPod application by typing "MixPod" into the search box at the top of the Facebook home page. Select "MixPod Music Playlist" from the list of options that appear in the drop-down box.
3. Click the "Go To App" box at the top of the application's page; it's located right next to the "Like" box.
4. Agree to let the MixPod application access your profile by clicking "Allow" at the bottom right of the next screen. This will install the app onto your Facebook profile.
5. Visit the MixPod website. Log in if you already have an account with MixPod, or create a new account by entering your email address. Creating a MixPod account is free.
6. Search for your favorite songs by entering their titles into the search box on the MixPod home page. Select the preferred version of the desired song on the next page.
7. Complete your playlist by customizing the appearance of your playlist. You can have it look like an iPod, iPhone or SideKick cellphone; you can also change the color scheme by clicking the various options on MixPod's playlist wizard.
8. Save your music playlist; if you forgot to log in or create an account when you first visited MixPod's website, you'll have to do that now in order to save your selections.
9. Click the "Facebook" tab on the next screen, then click "Share On Facebook" at the top of the page.
10. Click "Allow" in the Facebook pop-up window. This gives MixPod permission to post the newly-created playlist to your Facebook account.
Playlist.com
11. Visit Playlist.com and log in. If you do not already have a profile, you can create one for free. You will be unable to create a playlist without registering with the website.
12. Type the name of a song or artist into the search box on the Playlist.com homepage. Select the songs you want to add to your playlist by clicking the "+" button located to the left of the song title.
13. Locate your playlist on the right side of the Web page; click the "Embed" button at the bottom right of that playlist.
14. Customize your playlist, changing features like autoplay and the application's appearance. Click "Get Code" when you are done customizing your list. You'll be asked for a destination for your playlist; click the "Facebook" icon.
15. Allow Playlist.com to post a link to your playlist on your Facebook Wall by clicking the "Allow" button at the bottom right of the pop-up window. Your playlist is now on your Facebook Wall.
Songarea.com
16. Visit the Songarea.com homepage and log in; if you do not have a user name and password already, you can create a profile for free.
17.Click the "Create New Playlist" option on the right side of the screen. You'll be asked to name the playlist before proceeding.
18. Type the name of a song or artist into the search box at the top of the website. Click the "Add To Playlist" tab located to the right of the song title, then select the playlists to which you want to add the song.
19. Click the "View Playlist Page" tab on the right side of the screen when you are done creating your playlist. Next to the playlist, you'll see an icon for Facebook; click this icon to send your playlist to Facebook.
20. Click "Share Link" at the bottom right of the pop-up window to post your playlist to your Facebook Wall.
