The Zen Nomad Jukebox Xtra 60 GB is part of a line of MP3 players manufactured by Creative. This small electronic device stores digital files, such as music and video files, that you download and maintain from a computer. It can be extremely inconvenient if your MP3 player refuses to charge. You can fix this problem by using the Zen's reset function and a power source.
Instructions
1. Using the Zen's USB cord, connect the player to your computer's USB port or to a power adapter.
2. Use a small pin to push the player's small reset button, located on the bottom of the device next to the "Reset" label. Hold it down for at least 10 seconds.
3. Look for the charging icon to appear in the Zen screen's top right corner. It will look like a green lightning bolt. On the Zen's right-hand side, next to the On/Off switch, verify that the blue LED light is flashing. If both of these signs appear, your player is successfully charging.
4. Allow the Zen to charge for at least six hours. After the first hour, turn the player on so as to view its display functions and verify that the charging icon is still there.
5. Contact Creative Labs Customer Support (see Resources) for battery-replacement options if the charging symbol and blue LED light did not appear after initially resetting the Zen, and the player shows no sign of functionality. Your battery may be fully depleted.
