Transfer Styles From The Computer For An Apple iphone

Transfer Themes From a Computer to an iPhone

One of the complaints people have about their iPhones is the boring icons and overall look of the iPhone operating system. This, however, can now be changed by applying new iPhone themes. First, you will need to allow your iPhone to use unsigned Apple applications. This is called "jailbreaking." Jailbreaking is completely legal, but cannot be completely explained in this article. (See the "Resources" section for a link to jailbreak software.) Once you have done that, changing the look of your iPhone is as easy as downloading the new theme to your iPhone.

Instructions

1. Download and install iPhoneBrowser, which can be obtained through the link in the "Resources" section below. iPhoneBrowser allows you to delete, add and modify files that are inside of your Apple iPhone. It is very useful for adding apps, pictures and even themes.

2. Plug your iPhone into your computer with its USB cable. Allow your computer to install the proper drivers so that you can see the iPhone on the computer. Your computer only does this the first time your iPhone is connected to your computer.

3. Right-click "iPhoneBrowser" and click "Run as administrator" to open the program using administrative permissions. iPhoneBrowser will identify your iPhone from the list of available drives in your computer and load its files into the program.

4. Click the "Go To Location" link at the top of iPhoneBrowser, and click the "Summerboard Themes" section. This will open the location of where all of your themes will be saved on your iPhone. Download your iPhone themes through the second link in the "Resources" section below. Copy/paste them into the Summerboard Themes section.

5. Disconnect your iPhone from your computer and reboot it. Your new themes will be located in your Winterboard app because developers have upgraded the iPhone display app to include the older features of Summerboard with the newer ones of Winterboard. Click the app icon and select your new theme from the list. Exit Winterboard and your theme will be applied.
