MP3 files are the perfect way to share music and podcasts you've created with the world. After you record a sound file and save it as an MP3, you will want to make it available to friends, family and possibly even the general public. Sharing your MP3 files is easy and there are a number of free and paid online resources you can use to get your MP3s out there to your loyal listeners.
Instructions
Uploading MP3s for Free
1. Register for a free account with Upload-MP3.com (see Resources section). Upload-MP3.com is a free service that allows musicians and podcasters to upload and share up to 500 MB of audio. Activate your account through the link sent to your email.
2. Log in to your Upload-MP3.com account. Choose the "upload" prompt from the menu in the upper-left corner.
3. Browse your files for the MP3 file you wish to upload.
4. Press the "upload" button and wait for the file to upload. This could take several minutes, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.
5. Copy the provided code from Upload-MP3.com and share it with your friends on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Blogger and other networking sites. You can choose from BBcode or HTML.

6. Register a domain name and host it through one of the many available hosting companies such as Host Gator, GoDaddy or Dreamtime.
7. Install WordPress on your site (see Resources section).
8. Upload files to your site via the "Media" tool in WordPress and save them.
9. Capture the link to the uploaded file and share it through your blog and social networking profiles.
10. Consider using the PodPress widget, which adds a player to your site and allows people to listen to your MP3 without downloading it (see Resources section). You can also set up your PodPress feed to send your MP3 updates straight to iTunes.
