Change Zune Features

The Microsoft Zune is a highly customizable portable media player capable of displaying both audio and video files. The factory default feature settings of the Zune may be acceptable for some, but if you want to change these settings and really make the device your own you can do so by adjusting the appropriate options through the Zune's main menu system.

Instructions

1. Turn on your Zune and select the "Settings" option from the bottom of the unit's main menu. This loads the screen that allows you to change all options and feature settings for your Zune.

2. Select "Wireless" (if you have a compatible model) to change which wireless network your Zune is connecting to.

3. Select "Display" if you want to change the background image on your Zune's menu screen.

4. Select "Music" to change options relating to the playback of music on your Zune. You can add an equalizer, reduce the overall volume of the device or delete applicable content from the device's hard drive.

5. Select "Radio" if you want to change settings related to your Zune's built-in FM radio. Choose "Screen Lock" if you want to enable the "Screen Lock" feature on your Zune. This feature automatically shuts off the device's screen after a period of inactivity and requires you to enter a password to get back to the main menu.
