Convert An All downhill Multidisk Wire To Mp3 Input

Alpine's Versatile Link connections support portable media devices.

Alpine is one of the oldest and well-known car audio manufacturers. The company produces multiple options for mobile audio and video, speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers. You may find that the CD multi-disc changer you were using with your Alpine head unit should be replaced with an MP3 player, opening up increased options for music and data. Using Alpine's Versatile Link Ai-Net protocol, you can convert the Ai-Net cable connection used by your changer for your portable device instead.

Instructions

1. Unplug the Ai-Net cable from the CD changer's male pigtail Ai-Net connector.

2. Retract the Ai-Net cable from the trunk or glovebox area to a position in the vehicle convenient for you to reach while in the driver's seat.

3. Plug the KCA-121B adapter cable's exposed metal end into the female end of the Ai-Net cable.

4. Plug the 3.5 millimeter to RCA cable into the headphone jack on the player, and the RCA ends of the KCA-121B adapter. Alternately, plug the player's dock cable into the dock opening. Plug the dock cable's RCA ends into the Ai-Net adapter.
