An Internet Music Server application can transform your home computer into a Web server that hosts all of your music. Instructions
1. Download and install Jinzora, a free, open-source application that turns your PC into a streaming media server. Using Jinzora, you can access your music from many devices including other computers, game consoles, mobile phones and more.
2. Browse to the Sockso website and download the Sockso Personal Music Server software. Sockso is another free, open-source option that helps you stream your music anywhere and even allows you to share your server with your friends.
3. Sign up for a Dropbox account and install the free desktop software. Dropbox allows you to keep a folder on your PC synced with the Internet at all times. If a friend or family member downloads a new song onto your computer and places it in the Dropbox folder, you'll instantly have access to it no matter where you are.
