The Creative Zen X-Fi MP3 player allows you to listen to your music library while away from home. Learning load music onto and correct problems with the player will help you get the most out of the device.
Transferring Music
Download music files to the Creative Zen X-Fi through your computer. Plug the supplied USB cord into the USB port on your player and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Open "My Computer" and then the "Creative Zen" drive on your computer. Click and drag music files stored on your computer into the "Music" folder within the "Creative Zen" drive.
Radio Reception
Location and the placement of your headphone wire often cause poor radio reception. Increase radio reception by moving to another location. Straighten your headphone wire if it is curled up or attach a set of headphones with a longer wire. The wire is the antenna for the radio.
Reset
The Creative Zen X-Fi may freeze if there's a software error. To reset the player, stick the end of a paper clip into the small hole between the USB and headphone jacks. The X-Fi will shut down and reboot.
Recovery Mode
Serious malfunctions with your player not resolved with a standard reset require you to reformat the device. Reformatting the Creative Zen X-Fi loses all of your data. To reformat, press and hold the "Play/Pause" button until the "Creative" logo appears, and then press the back button. Select "Format All" to reformat the drive. The player will turn off and reboot by itself.
