When you use a program in Microsoft Windows and it shuts down unexpectedly, Windows displays an error message. The purpose of this is for you to troubleshoot and fix the error. One example of this type of error is the error R6025, which is a virtual runtime error. The message, "Runtime error R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call" indicates that a program you are running is damaged or corrupted. The solution lies in stopping this program, then removing and reinstalling it.
Instructions
1. Close any programs that caused the error. Press the "Ctrl," "Alt," and "Delete" buttons at the same time to open the "Windows Task Manager" dialog box.
2. Click the "Processes" tab and click the "Image Name" button. Scroll through the processes list and make sure that the program that caused the virtual error is not running on the list. If the program is still running, right-click it and choose "End Process." The program stops running.
3. Open the "Start" menu by clicking the "Start" button on your Windows desktop. Click the "Control Panel" icon and select "Programs and Features." Find the program that caused the virtual error on the list and click the "Remove Program" button. This removes the program from your computer.
4. Click the desktop's "Start" button and click "Search." Click "All Files and folders" and, in the "Search" box, type "Cleanmgr" and click the "Search" button. Double-click the program when it appears. Click the "Files from all users" option and click "Continue." Select the drive that contained the program that caused the error in the drop menu and click "OK."
5. Restart the computer after the file cleaning process is completed. Insert the installation CD of the program you removed earlier and reinstall by following the program's installation wizard prompt.
