As of 2010, Jackson, Mississippi offers several appealing gay nightspots. In addition to its gay clubs, Jackson is home to a number of proudly gay-oriented businesses. It also hosts the popular OUToberfest, an annual two-day street fair spotlighting the area's gay community, and has an active Parents, Families, & Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) chapter.
Jack's Construction Site
Also known as JC's, this is a comfortable neighborhood club with pool tables and a jukebox. It's a friendly place for casual relaxation, with a wide variety of imported and domestic beers. If you prefer hard liquor, you can bring your own bottle and the bar will provide mixers. Jack's is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Club Metro Reloaded
Club Metro Reloaded is the largest LGBT club in Jackson. It invites "everyone and anyone who wants to party" to dance to the sounds of R&B, rap, hip-hop and house music. Club Metro Reloaded frequently features live performers, as well as themed events like the "Mr. & Miss Capitol City Pride" contest. Doors open every night at 10. You must be 18 to enter, and 21 to drink.
Dick and Jane's
Dick and Jane's is a dance club and live entertainment venue in downtown Jackson. It's open Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. On Fridays, the club showcases the talents of local drag queens; Saturday night is dance night. Patrons must be 18 to enter, and 21 to drink. The bar serves beer, and customers are welcome to bring their own bottles.
Club City Lights
Club City Lights bills itself as Jackson's oldest LGBT club. Located in the heart of downtown, this lounge features a lively dance floor, and hosts drag shows and other special events most Saturday nights. The clientele is largely African American, but the club welcomes all skin tones and genders. Club City Lights is open on Fridays and Saturdays.
