The HP Pavilion A250n is a home desktop computer suited to families and those who want to invest in their first home computer. Complete with all the essential products needed to get started, the A250n is good for playing games, listening to music and running office programs. Powerful enough to run a multitude of programs, the A250n is the ideal home computer.
Hardware
The A250n comes with 512 megabytes of RAM installed and 120 gigabytes of hard drive memory. The hard drive is encased in a tower-style casing, adding extra protection to your computer, ideal in a family household with young children. For multimedia products such as CDs or DVDs, there is a CD-ROM drive and a separate DVD drive. For older media, there is also a 3.5-inch diskette drive. The A250n has plenty of ports for connecting external sources such as webcams or MP3 players. In total, there are 21 ports including six USB ports, one serial port and one parallel port. Other hardware featured with the hard drive is the HP multimedia keyboard and a HP optical mouse.
Software
The HP A250n is the complete home computer and comes packed with software so that it is ready to go from the moment you plug it in. The operating system is the Windows XP Home Edition, a recognized system that is efficient and stable with a fast performance. For entertainment, there is a range of products including the MusicMatch Jukebox and the RealOne video player. Creative people will enjoy the abundance of arts-related media on the A250n, such as the HP Picture Toolkit or the greetings card design program by Arcsoft. For those who need office-related programs, there is WordPerfect, Quicken and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
After Sales Service
The HP A250n comes with several warranty types, each one designed to provide a complete after sales service. If the computer needs new parts due to wear and tear, there is a one-year parts and labor warranty. For software replacements, there is a 30-day warranty. Perhaps the most important services that HP offer are the hardware and software technical support services. These are particularly useful if this is your first home computer or if you are not completely comfortable troubleshooting computer problems yourself. These technical services are offered on a one-year warranty and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
