Make Use Of A Netbook computer Like A Vehicle Computer

HP Mini 1001 Netbook

Netbooks are becoming increasingly popular due to their many uses and high level of portability. One possibility is to use a netbook as a car computer, complete with GPS and MP3 capabilities.

Instructions

1. Purchase the netbook of your choice. Key features to consider are hard drive space (especially if you want to store music on the netbook) as well as processor speed and the amount of RAM. Many current Netbooks use the Intel Atom processor. Also, make sure the netbook has a good display.

2. Search Amazon.com and other online retailers for a car mount specific to your netbook. Install the netbook in your car.

3. Obtain a DC power adapter for your netbook to power the unit. Install this in your vehicle.

4. Run the 3.5mm auxiliary cable from the netbook to the AUX in on your car stereo receiver.

5. Install GPS software and receiver (Such as Microsoft Streets & Trips) to add GPS functionality to your system.

6. Enjoy your netbook car computer!
