Memphis Tennessee Barbecue Restaurants

Try some signature barbecue at a Memphis restaurant.

Although the term "barbecue" is of uncertain origin, it has been established as an important regional cuisine in the United States. The food type became popular in the 19th century as it was easy to serve large groups of people, and due to the number of pigs found in the American South, pork is frequently emphasized. Memphis is home to one of the four major styles of barbecue, specializing in pulled pork shoulder with a sweet tomato sauce. Add this to my Recipe Box.
