Franklin is a small city in central Indiana with a population of 19,463, according to the 2000 census. While nightlife for those who live there is typically found in Indianapolis, a mere twenty miles to the north, there are a handful of evening options for those who prefer to drink locally. The drinking holes include local pubs, bars at chain restaurants and old-fashioned saloons. They are predominately found on either Jefferson Street or North Morton Street, the two main boulevards traversing the city.
