The Sansa Fuze device is a portable media player with MP3 and video playback capabilities. The device was manufactured and released by Sandisk Inc; well known for their storage cards. The Rockbox software is an alternative firmware application compatible with several popular MP3 players including iPod players, Cowon and the Sansa Fuze device. The software offers customization features not found in many default firmware applications. Removing the software from your media player does not require any technical skills.
Instructions
1. Press the "Power" button to turn your Sansa Fuze on. Connect the device to the USB cable, and then connect the cable to your computer where the Rockbox utility software is installed.
2. Click the "Start" button at the bottom of the computer screen. Hover the mouse's cursor over "All Programs", then select the "Rockbox" program.
3. Click the "Uninstallation" tab on the Rockbox utility screen. Click the "Uninstall Rockbox from your audio player."
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove Rockbox from the Fuze device. After the software is removed, disconnect your Fuze from the USB cable, and press the "Power" button to turn the device off.
5. Press the "Power" button again to turn the device back on. The Rockbox software is now removed from the Sansa Fuze device.
