Bars In Shakopee Minnesota

Indulge in an alcoholic beverage at a Shakopee bar.

Nestled between rolling hills and the Minnesota River, Shakopee is a suburb located south of Minneapolis. The suburb's two major attractions are Valley Fair amusement park and Canterbury Park, a horse track and gambling parlor. Whether visitors are looking for a spot to unwind after work or a place to discuss their winnings at Canterbury Park, Shakopee has a bar offering drinks, music and good times.

Leinie Lodge at Arizona's

Located inside the Canterbury Inn hotel, Leinie Lodge at Arizona's is a bar and restaurant featuring karaoke contests and live music. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings feature karaoke starting at 9:30 p.m. Live music takes the stage on Thursday through Sunday nights. The bar serves a full menu including Wisconsin cheese curds, chicken wings, burgers and pizza. The bar is open seven days a week, beginning at 11 a.m. Happy hour is available everyday.

Turtle's Bar and Grill

Turtle's Bar and Grill has been a favorite neighborhood watering hole since it first opened its doors in 1990 in downtown Shakopee. Owned by a NASCAR-loving family, racing memorabilia and artwork dominate the bar's decor, including race car-shaped lighting fixtures and menu items with racing-themed names. Entrees include handmade pizzas, burgers or try the Green Flag Sampler platter, which includes breaded mushrooms, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Ongoing events are always happening at this bar and include UFC fight nights, Monday karaoke nights and live music. Although smoking is not allowed indoors, smokers enjoy push-button heaters located outside on the patio during winter months. Customers looking to book a private event can rent out the banquet facility for wedding receptions, parties or meetings.

Babe's Place

Located in the heart of downtown Shakopee, Babe's Place is a small bar frequented by locals. Hand-painted murals grace the walls and were painted by a local artist who also did artwork for Shakopee's St. Mary's Church. The food is deliciously greasy (think beer-battered onion rings, chicken strips and thick burgers) and the drinks are strong. A lack of live music doesn't stop the fun--pool tables, dart boards, pull tabs and a jukebox filled with classic country music keeps the atmosphere lively. Babe's Place is open seven days per week.
