You can convert a RAM to a WAV file with conversion software.
Computer users have access to a variety of file formats when it comes to the programs and applications they access. However, not all of these file formats work well with each other. For instance, audio files that come in RAM format stream various sounds, but do not have the widespread compatibility that WAV audio files do. If you learn utilize file conversion software, you can change the format of a RAM file to the more popular and widely used WAV file type.
Instructions
Via Zamzar
1. Go to Zamzar. (See Resources.) Then, choose the RAM file with which you want to convert.
2. Click the "WAV" file format. Type the address you use to receive email.
3. Click the "Convert" function. This enables you receive the RAM file in WAV format via email.
Via iTunes
4. Launch iTunes. (See Resources.) Drag the RAM file you desire to convert from the library of your laptop or desktop to your iTunes library. Then, click "Edit," "Preference" and "Import Settings."
5. Go to "Import Using" and click on "WAV Encoder." Then, click "Enter."
6. Right-click your mouse on the RAM file and choose "Create WAV Version."
Via Music Match Jukebox
7. Go to "File." Click "Options," and finally click on "Convert" via the "Main Menu" of Music Match Jukebox. (See Resources.)
8. Click your mouse on the RAM file via your "Source Directory" box and choose a file from the "Destination Directory" box.
9. Click "WAV" under "Destination Data Type" and then "Start" to complete the process.
