Download Music With Songbird
Songbird is an open-source, full-featured media player including music, video and photo capabilities. Songbird includes a Web browser for finding and downloading new music, smart phone and portable media player sync capabilities, and an extensive add-ons library. Download music with Songbird using the included Jamendo or 7digital music stores or by navigating to websites with music files in Songbird's built-in Web browser.
Instructions
1. Download and install Songbird if you don't already have it installed. Install it by following the instructions on your screen.
2. Open Songbird by clicking Start, then All Programs. Click the Songbird folder, and then click on Songbird.
3. Download five free sample songs from Jamendo by scrolling down on the Welcome to Songbird page and clicking Get them Now next to Jamendo. Click Download to the right of each song in the download pane that appears at the bottom of the Songbird window.
4. Download music from the 7digital music store included with Songbird by clicking 7digital in the left sidebar of the Songbird window. Select and click on an album on the 7digital page, and click Add Album. Purchase the music by clicking the Cart link at the top-right corner of the 7digital page and clicking Check Out. Sign up for a 7digital account and provide payment information by following the directions on screen.
5. Download free sample music from the 7digital music store by typing 7digital.com/free-mp3-downloads into Songbird's address bar and pressing Enter. Click an album, click Add Album, click the Cart link at the top-right corner of the page and click Check Out just like you would for paid music. Sign up for a 7digital account by following the directions on screen. Payment is not required.
6. Download music from any website with music files in Songbird by typing the website's address into Songbird's address bar. If the website contains or links to music tracks, Songbird displays the downloads pane at the bottom of the Songbird window. Download a music file by clicking Download next to it.
