Putting an MP3 player on your phone
The Motorola Razr became popular due to its compact size and thin frame, but later versions of this phone, like the V3i version, became popular due to their multitude of features. One unique feature on this particular phone is a built-in MP3 player. This makes it easy to download, store and play your favorite songs while on the go. But if you don't like the MP3 player that came with it, you can download and install a new MP3 player on your V3i. All it takes is an Internet connection and a few minutes of your time.
Instructions
1. Turn on your computer and log onto the Internet. Then decide which MP3 player you would like to install on your Razr V3i. There are plenty of free MP3 player programs online for you to choose from (see Resources). Navigate to the home page of the particular MP3 player software program you would like to install and follow the prompts on the home screen to download. After the program has downloaded, it will be available on your computer's desktop.
2. Turn on your Razr V3i and connect it to your computer via the included USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable that came with your phone.
3. Use your mouse to click on the "My Computer" icon on your computer's desktop. Then select "Devices" from the options in the window. Your V3i phone will be listed as a "Mass Storage Device."
4. Click on your recently downloaded MP3 software program and drag it over the V3i icon in the Device's window. Release the program to copy it to your V3i.
5. Disconnect your V3i from your computer and flip the phone open.
6. Press the left or right soft key (one of the two keys located in either corner of your Razr) to open the menu screen. Scroll through the list of options until you come to "Applications" and press the "OK" button to select it.
7. Scroll through the list of options until you come to the MP3 player. Click "OK" to open it and verify that it has been installed on your phone.
